Our Health Officer and Director report to the Board of Health on the fourth Thursday of January, April, July, and October.
Meetings start at 8:30am and are held in the Harbor Room of the Pearsall Building in Aberdeen.
The public is invited to attend Board of Health meetings and opportunities for public comment are provided.

What is the Board of Health?
The Grays Harbor County Board of Health is a local government body that regulates matters related to public health.
Local health jurisdictions in Washington State (including Grays Harbor County Public Health Department) are governed by both local and state regulations.

What does the Board of Health do?
Local boards of health have “supervision over all matters pertaining to the preservation of the life and health of the people within its jurisdiction” (RCW 70.05.060).

- oversee the protection of public health.
- enact local public health policy, regulations, and fees.
Who serves on the Grays Harbor County Board of Health?
In counties that do not have a home rule charter, such as Grays Harbor County, county commissioners serve as the Board of Health (RCW 70.05.030).
